Belarus and South Korea intend to develop cooperation in the fields of cadastre, land administration and spatial information
Andrei Filipenko, the director of the National Cadastral Agency of the State Сcommittee on Property, and Tsoi Chang-hak, the leader of the LX Corporation of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea signed the relevant Memorandum of Understanding today.
The signing took place within the framework of the International meeting of Smart GEO Expo 2019 on the development of cooperation in the field of geospatial information (IMAGIC) held in the capital of the Republic of Korea from 7 to 9 August 2019.
The Memorandum establishes an agreement between the parties on the exchange of strategies and technologies in the field of land administration cadastre, in the field of developing the latest technologies and supporting the construction, analysis and use of spatial information, the creation and use of technologies for creating a digital twin for designing a smart city and other areas which can be further defined jointly.
LX is a government organization that promotes the protection of property rights of the people of Korea, as well as the development of the national cadastral system since its foundation in 1977. The company provides prompt and accurate survey services and various cadastral spatial data.
As follows from the text of the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Cadastral Agency of the State Сcommittee on Property and the LX Corporation of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea, the parties intend to create and act through the Cooperation Team for its effective implementation (in particular, through consultations, working meetings, joint symposia and seminars, as well as joint research and technical education, the exchange of human resources, the provision of geodetic instruments and computer equipment).
