Today the XLII session of the Interstate Council for Geodesy, Cartography, Cadastre and Remote Sensing of the Earth was held in a videoconference format.
The Heads and representatives of the cartographic and geodetic offices of the Republic of Azerbaijan (as an observer), the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan the session attended the session.
The State Committee on Property of the Republic of Belarus was represented by Chairman Dzmitry Matusevich and members of the working groups that are part of the committee structure.
Dzmitry Matusevich reported on the successful functioning of the Satellite System for Precise Positioning of the Republic of Belarus and on the implementation of work on the survey and restoration of points of the state geodetic network during the report on the implementation of the decisions of the 41st session of the Interstate Council.
In addition, the Head of the State Property Committee noted that this year the implementation of the action plan for the transition to the use of the geocentric reference system and the reference system of normal heights on the territory of the republic continues. This direction is a priority not only in terms of improving the efficiency, accuracy and quality of geodetic works and services, but also determining a single geodetic reference base for the purpose of performing land management and cadastral works and improving the quality of services in this area.
Dzmitry Matusevich also informed that the implementation of the action plan for the modernization of the State Cartographic and Geodetic Fund of the Republic of Belarus, which is the largest spatial database in the country, continues. The main goal of modernization is to build a modern, high-tech and attractive system for the provision of services for the provision of digital materials and data for use. The system will provide the ability to remotely search, select, order, pay and receive materials and data.
Speaking about the resources of the address system of Belarus, the Head of the State Property Committee reported that the country has created a unique system of mass (systematic) addressing of real estate through state orders. Another innovation of this year was the spatial definition of the boundaries of postal zones and their reflection on the address map.
Dzmitry Matusevich informed at the end of the report, that the development of the draft state program «Land and property relations, geodetic and cartographic activities» for 2021-2025 is currently being completed. The program is being created in order to develop a highly efficient system of geodetic and cartographic support in the Republic of Belarus, to increase the efficiency of the use of land resources and state property.
